Jorge E. Vásquez
Jorge is an experienced international consultant and business information systems professional with demonstrated business insight. He provides effective solutions for his clients across various organizational models and industries. For more than twenty years, he has produced positive outcomes by implementing working business strategies that facilitate revenue growth for his clients. He also has demonstrated expertise in information systems, issue analysis and resolution, and business development. He participated in multi-million dollar successful IT projects that resulted in the implementation of information systems supporting mission-critical processes for utilities and telecommunications companies and for local and county governments. Combining his personal interest in entrepreneurialism and business with a cooperative, real-world approach, he creatively facilitates and implements strategic processes that resolve challenging business issues.
Born and raised in Colombia, Jorge obtained a systems engineering degree from Universidad Eafit. Then, he received a scholarship through a joint scholarship program of the Fulbright Commission and the Colombian Government. This opportunity allowed him to earn a Master of Science degree in computer science from West Virginia University.
In addition to running Acureach Consulting, Jorge is an adjunct professor at Florida Tech where he teaches software development courses. He is currently pursuing an MBA at this university. Jorge is married to Wanda Lipscomb-Vasquez, and they have lived in Florida since 2012.
Wanda L. Lipscomb-Vásquez
Wanda is a results-driven, bilingual operations and development professional with international business acumen and a highly effective leadership style that drives bottom-line results across various organizations, cultures and industries through demonstrated expertise in process improvements, information systems and organizational development. Her management style blends a pro-active entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative, practical approach, able to consistently create and implement successful programs that resolve challenging business issues.
She has worked for the Women’s Business Center (WBC) at Florida Tech, where she has led projects of different kinds. Before joining the WBC, she taught English in Colombia, and was an adjunct professor at Eastern Florida State College. She also worked in the health sector where she led projects intended to improve health literacy, especially among the immigrant Hispanic population in the State of Indiana.
Born in Morgantown, West Virginia, she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts from West Virginia University, and then, a Master of Science in language education from Indiana University. She currently is pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems, with a concentration in management at FIT. Wanda lived in Colombia with her husband, Jorge, in two different occasions, and is bilingual English-Spanish.
